Abstract

          Nowadays, advances in computer technology have provide a new approach in the indusfrial sector. The widen of computer usage in manufacturing sector and enterprises premises is clearly shown that the importance of computer as a tool to make the tansaction easier to use. The planning work using computer is important because it makes the work easier and it will increase the productivity and efficiency of the organization. For all this importance, an inventory control system based on web has been developed for M.c. Motor & cycle supply (Melaka) sdn. Bhd. This system is developed to help the company solvet he problem in managing flow stock of the truck spare parts and to get the best ordering policy. An inventory model for independent demand which is known as Periodic Review Systems(PRS) has been chosen to be implemented in this system.Besides managing and contolling the inventory level, this system can be accessed anywhere by surfing the system website using the internet. This system is developed using the Microsoft Access 2000, Active Server pages (ASP) and Microsoff VisuaI lnterDev6.0.

Abstract

          Identifying outlier is a fundamental stepi n the regression model building process. Outlying observation should be identified because of their potential effect on the fitted model.As a result of the need to identifu outliers,numerous outlying measures are built. Graph technique in exploratory data analysis is one graphical method to identify outlier for data.However these outlying measures work well when a regression data set contains only a single outlying point and it is well established that regression real data sets may have multiple outlying observations that individually are not easy identified by the same measures. Sebert et. al (1998) proposed clustering methodolory to identify multiple outlying observations bay utilizing the standardized predicted and residuals value from least square fit. Two techniques on classic data sets and research data set. S-Plus package will be used for this analysis.

Sistem Kawalan Inventori Berasaskan Web Di MyNEWS.com Cawangan Melaka


Abstract

          The used of inventory system become more relevant to organization to help them managing their inventory efficiently. The sistem Kawalan Inventori Berasaskan Web Di Cawangan Melaka requires a systematic management because it can help an organization of myNEWS.com in term of earning the maximum profit. In addition, it could help the organization make an optimum ordering size and decreasing the return value( magazines unsold are return to the supplier). Through this project, research has been conduct in order to help one company, called myNEWS.com (Malacca branch) in organizing their inventory. The manual system that they used right now can't help them in accessing data more easily and they found difficult to determine an optimum ordering size. This system applied an independend demand system approach while the Newsboy Problem mthod has been identified to be used in the system development. An online system will be developed use Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004, and Adobe Photoshopg 8.0 in order to design the interface, PHP as the platform and MySQL supports its database.

Abstract

          Recently,the number of production-based industries with a systematic planning in inventory control system is increasing. This system helps these organizations to improve their inventory in order to maximize profit as well as minimizing the costs involved in production.There are several planning techniques in inventory control that can be choose and implemented by the organization according to the needs in managing their inventory,such as the Material Requirement Planning(MRP).This project is about developing software of MRP particularly for the small and medium enterprises(SME), which produce a food-based product.The focused is SME in the region of Johor Bahru. Generally,the SME are rapidly developed including the small size and suburb industries in Malaysia.This final report consists of chapters,which will elaborate on organization problems,background study, literature study, methodology,hardware and software that had been used in developing the MRP software. Hopefully, this software can be used as an automation-helping tool in planning material needed for the production and will contribute to the development of SME thus, enhancing the country's economy.

Sistem Pensaizan Lot:Kapasiti Tanpa Kekangan Dan Berkekangan


Abstract

          Inventory control plays an important role in the management of raw material and related components in the induetrial sector especially in the production industry. A good inventory control system will ensure that the items in stock are always at an optimal level, so that the production activities can be carried out as planned. However, it is now recognized that the lot sizing of the items has to consider the limited capacity of the production facility simultareously. Therefore, this project is targeted at producing lot size schedule capacity without constraint and with constraint system is implemented using linear Programming Technique(Lp) seven other techniques in Discrete Demand system, and also Economic order Quantity (EOQ) technique which is a part of static Demand system.This system is developed using Protogtpe Methodology.The software's used for this system are Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Aceess and Microsort Visual Basic 6.0 programming language. Result from all of these techniques will be compared for the best technique selection.As conclusion, this system developed to get the best resurt for lot sizing scheduling in industial sector based on the technique is implemented.

Sistem Penentuan Saiz Storan Gas Petroleum Cecair


Abstract

          Storage is a temporary gas keeping place before being supplied to customers to balance the supply and demand. Hence,the size of a storage is an important factor to be given early consideration before designing the supply system of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG). There are two methods currently used in determining the storage size of LPG namely Vaporization Method and Empherical Method which are previously implemented manually and had causing calculation errors.To overcome this problem, a computerized system called the System of Storage Size Determination of Liquefied Petroleum Gas is developed by using Borland Delphi 5.0 software based on Vaporization Method and the Empherical Method. The result obtained from this system is a report showing the values for size i.e. the diameter, length, volume and reloading duration time of tank. The methodology of project development for this system is Waterfall Model. This project gains the cooperation from Technology Gas Centre, Faculty of Chemical and Natural Resources Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Hopefully, the system developed is capable to be commercialized in the industrial sector of gas storage.

          The system that has developed was a web base inventory control system at MR FOUR ENTERPRISE.The whole function of this system is to solve problems that occur in the current system management. The inefficiency of current inventory management have causes some problems to the company, such as shortage or extra stock. The new inventories systems, which have developed was fully computerize. It means that, the system will assist the user to manage the data such as updating or delete data directly system. It also provides services to allow the outlets to place an via online order. This web base inventory system was to assist the managemen to manage their inventory with more systematic and efficiency. The software which used in developing this system were Macromedia Dreamweaver MX, Macromedia Flash MX and Microsoft Access 2003 as a database.
