Abstract
Nowadays, advances in computer technology have provide a new approach in the
indusfrial sector. The widen of computer usage in manufacturing sector and enterprises
premises is clearly shown that the importance of computer as a tool to make the
tansaction easier to use. The planning work using computer is important because it
makes the work easier and it will increase the productivity and efficiency of the
organization. For all this importance, an inventory control system based on web has
been developed for M.c. Motor & cycle supply (Melaka) sdn. Bhd. This system is
developed to help the company solvet he problem in managing flow stock of the truck
spare parts and to get the best ordering policy. An inventory model for independent
demand which is known as Periodic Review Systems(PRS) has been chosen to be
implemented in this system.Besides managing and contolling the inventory level, this
system can be accessed anywhere by surfing the system website using the internet. This
system is developed using the Microsoft Access 2000, Active Server pages (ASP) and
Microsoff VisuaI lnterDev6.0.
