Abstract
The purpose of this project is to develop a web based Material Requirement
Planning(MRP) system for FIMA Mr. Juicy Sdn.Bhd. The system will replace the
manual inventory system that is used at present to assist the administration in handling
their inventory management.Material Requirement planning (MRp) is adopted as an
inventory control approach because the items selected in this inventory control are the
raw material required to build the product . The Least Unit cost, Least period cost and
Least Total Cosl techniques are implemented to determine the ordered lot sizing, in
order to get the most optimized raw material ordered table.The system was developed
using Active Server Pages(ASP) and Microsort Dreamweaver MX. software and
Microsoft Access 2000 as the database. Apart from the optimized order table, this system
allows more efficient communication between the client and the supplier.
