Abstract
Inventory Control System and Material Requirement Planning (MRP) is necessary for an organization in order to ensure the production process run well. Indirectly, this system can enhance to management in controlling the requirement of raw material more effectively. Thus, an inventory control and MRP system for Staedtler( M) Berhad was developed,in order to alter the current system which is standalone technology. The company's business is producing the Staedtler Products, however this research focus on products of LUNA Coloured Pencils-12's. Therefore, the inventory control approach use MRP as the controller of the outward an inward flow of the materials and all the activities involves in inventory management. The methodology for the system is Waterfalls Model. Meanwhile, in order to have an optimum ordering.schedule, lot sizing technique implemented in this system are Model Lot For Lot (LFL), Part Period Algorithm (PPA), Least Unit Costs (LUC), and Silver Meal Algorithm (SMA). The system was developed by using Programming Hypertex Processor (PHP) and Microsoft Dreamweaver MX 2004 software and MySQL as database. A part from optimized order table, this system allows more efficient and systematic communication between the client and the supplier.
