Web-Based Decision Support System For Evaluating Housing Loan Applications

Abstract

          This project, entitled "Web-Based Decision Support System for Evaluating Housing Loan Applications" is developed for the purpose of supporting the decision making of Public Bank's managers on the evaluation of loan applications. It also allows bank managers to manipulate customers' information. On the other hand, bank customers are informed of their loan application status and new information on loans by e-mail which is a faster and more efficient information distribution method. This project will only focus on certain loan provided by Public Bank, which is the housing loan. The Object-Oriented (OO) methodology using the prototyping model is implemented throughout the development of this system while the unified Modelling Language (UML) diagramming techniques are used as a tool to picture the whole system clearly. The scripting language namely visual Basic.NET (VB.NET) is coupled with suitable software and hardware to support the development of this system. Interfaces are created as media of communication on the web based Decision Support System. As this proposed system is completed, a great hope that this system would improve the efficiency of housing loan applications evaluation and reduce mistakes made by the managers. Lastly, it is hope that the system is more convenient compared to the current manual way of evaluating loan applications.
