Abstract
A complete computer lab with well-managed computer sources is very important
for students as well as lecturers. The main point of this project is to develop a prototype
of computer's software resources management system for computer labs in FSKSM
(Faculti of Computer Science and Information Technology). It is created to simplifies the
the job of lab's technician especially in resources and hardisk's content management
tasks in order to make sure that computers in labs contains only useful and academic
software.The structure of this prototype includes utilities such as messages transfer,
password changing management, information keeping, hardisk's content comparisons,
file or software transactions management utility and shutting down workstation from
server's computer. All these applications are developed using Visual C++ 6.0 as
programming language as well as Windows Socket programmings. Microsoft Access is
used as the database for data keeping. With the realization of this system, hopefully it will
help those technicians in providing an efficient and effective computer lab management for
this faculty.
