Perbandingan Nilai Parameter Optimum Proses Pemesinan Buah Catur Permaisuri Menggunakan Kaedah Berangka

Abstract

Optimization of parameter values for machining process and work piece cutting using the skills and experience of a numerical control (NC) machine programmer are conventional techniques which are often used in numerical control code programming. The rapid technology of hardware and software has enable the usage of three methods, the try and error system, Computer Aided Design an Manufacturing system (CAD/CAM), and mathematical models to procure machining parameter and optimal numerical control codes. Therefore, selection and comparison of the methods are needed to obtain the best method. This project is to study the use of mathematical models in determining optimal machining parameter values and to compare the values with the other parameter values acquired using other methods from the previous projects. Two machining parameters studied are feed rate and plunge rage and the mathematical models used are forward-Difference of Order O (h2) and Central-Difference of Order O (h2). Waterfall development system methodology combined with mathematical model development is used in the conducted project. MATLAB is used to develop the system whilst Mastercam is used for verification and validation. The result of the study shows that the optimal parameter values obtained are varied compared to the other methods in term of machining time. A comparison table of machining time is created for all three methodsf or both parameters. As a result, the obtained machining time is faster. As conclusion, mathematical models can be used to procure optimal parameter values.
