Abstract
The rapid changes in technology during this cyber era encourages people to create new products and innovations in order to help them to do everyday tasks in much easier, faster and more efficient way. The motive of this project is to construct a computerized system which automates the receptionist's basic tasks which is done manually before. The main task that will be automated into the system is to connect the guests which come to a certain company with the staff they wanted to see. The system will be capable to keep track each and every gueast that comes and keeps their record into a database for further use of the company management. The E-Receptionist project proposed using Evolutionary Development approach to construct the system in order to meet the user's requirements. The object oriented method will be implemented during the requirement analysis,design phase and the coding of this system. This is relevant to the use of Visual Basic as the programming language to develop this system. The development of this system will manipulate multimedia elements such as ghraphics, video and sounds into the user interface ensure it's user-friendliness. Interaction capabilities of the interface is very important to assist the guest in order to connect them with the staff in the office.
