Abstract
Data visualisation is a part of computer graphics where its study is on representing data as graphics. Visualisation of contour map is one of data visualisation. In these days,Internet usage is a part of our lives. For this reason,an online contour map visualisation system can be used by online community. The objective of this project is to analyse an existing contour map visualisation system and do some corections and added values to it. Contour map zooming and contour zones colorisation are two functions that can be found in most contour map visualisation application.So, our emphasis will be on adding these two functions into the existing system. This project will be monitored based on the spiral methodology. In between phases, we will generate prototypes for testing purposes. At the end of this project, an online contour map visualisation application that betters existing system will be built.
