Abstract
The cockpit is a place where the pilot is when flying the aircraft. From the pilot's seat, the pilot can control the aircraft, see the instrument panel, and look out the window. Cockpit is a pilot's display principal for controlling the aircraft. The purpose of this study is to build a cockpit display for helicopter model's Bell 206 Jet Ranger. In this study, a short discussion about flight technology for airplane and helicopter flight was made. Besides, there was a discussion on flight simulator including the history, components and the usage of flight simulator and helicopter simulator. The central focus in this study was about cockpit and its functionality, also how to build a cockpit display for this helicopter simulator. A Bell 206 Jet Ranger was chosen as a study model and as a model for the cockpit's display development. There are three important parts to develop this project, which is input, process, and output. Inputs data are from the parameters including height, speed, flight turning and helicopter's nose turning. These inputs are from the keyboard. For the process section, a calculation was made to get the actual movement for the instrument's meter. Lastly, the view from the cockpit and also the instrument's movement will be displayed as the output.
