Penghasilan Kesan Letupan Menggunakan Sistem Partikel


Abstract

          Explosion is a phenomenon caused by mechanical, chemical or nuclear reaction that produces a sudden burst of energy. Nowadays explosion effect is widely used in films and also video games to make them more appealing. However, creating. explosion effect using the traditional method is very difficult since an explosion is a fuzzy object that is poorly defined. In addition, an explosion effect has to be created in real time if it is going to be implemented in video games since video games are real time software. Therefore, this project has studied existing techniques for creating explosion effect to be used in video games. From the study that has been done, Particle System technique has been chosen for the purpose of producing an explosion effect for video games. This technique models explosion as particles that each has its own attributes. These attributes change from the creation of the particles until the end of its lifetime. The result shows that the explosion effect can be rendered at an acceptable frame rate for video games. In conclusion, Particle System technique is suitable for creating explosion effect for video games.
