Abstract
Nowadays, most of the GIS application is based on vector technology. There are many GIS data format is being used to store the GIS information. This causes a problem when these data need to store into database as a data model. So we need to create a method or a technique to standardized the data format as free format so that the data can be shared for many users. Due to the problem, the Conversion of AutoCAD Data Format To Free Format software application has developed. This software is called ProDXF2XYZ. This project is specified to DXF format only because this format is mostly used in research and development for GIS application. The technique to convert DXF format to free format (XYZ format) and the technique to built 2D map from free format file has developed. From this software, the GIS data can be manipulated for special usage and can be shared.
