Abstract
The use of simulation technique to solve complex problems, especially in
production and manufacturing process research has invites many researchers to plunge.
By using this technique, it can adapt and change a real world of manufacturing process
to a simulation model and is easier to research. The purpose of this project is to develop
a simulation model and it will describe and explain the manufacturing process activity at
boat assembly line area, The model includes graphical animation about production
process flow. It can show the time estimation to complete several products and the
percentage (utilization) of workstation which is busy or idle. The technique of analysing
data is through a
"Good-ness
of fit" test and using Chi-square test to perform. Several
model parameter are flexible and can be change within user requirement. The simulation
model was developed using Simscript II.5 software in dos environment.
