Abstract
Inventory control system plays the main role to ensure that the number of items in the stock are sufficient for the production planning. Besides, inventory control also ensure the production cost to be in control for its optimization. A research done at IBS Technology Sdn.Bhd found that the organization still using the manual system for their stock management. This gave a lot of problem to the organization such as data lost, difficulties in updating the data and so on. Based on the organization itself, the project is planned to utilise the Material Requirement Planning (MRP) approach. The scope for this project is to concentrate on the Security System SAC5000 product. Five models were used in this project and the best techniques were applied to the organization. The techniques are Lot For Lot, Least Unit Cost, Algorithm Silver Meal, Least Total Cost and Wagner Whitin Algorithm. Since the findings for all algorithms are the same therefore all the algorithms were applied. This web based inventory control system was developed using Php (Php Hypertext Preprocessor) language and Macromedia Dreamweaver MX2004 for designing interface and PhpMyAdmin as the engine for the database.
