Sistem Maklumat Geografi : Prototaip Sistem Pengurusan Banjir


Abstract

          Nowadays, Geographic Information System(GIS) is the real world presentation techniques in an electronic way. GIS is used to analyze the natures data using computer. The type of data need in this prototype are spatial data and non spatial data. Data spatial includes the map of river station, map of automatic water level reader station and map of Negeri Johor. For the non spatial data need the data of the water level for every station which located along Sungai Johor, Sungai Batu Pahat, Sungai Benut and Sungai Muar. This prototype is includes using of map to show the station area. Every changes from the automatic water level reader were save in the non spatial database and connected to the map(spatial data) passing by the Query which developed in MapInfo. In this prototype, the water level are include three water level expected which the first level is the Normal level(green), second is the Alert level(yellow) and the third is the Warning level(red) for every station. The level are refer to the water level table from Jabatan Pengairan dan Saliran Johor. The change of the automatic water level reader station symbol colors were changed when the water level is changed. The database is capability to save the spatial data(.tab) and non spatial(.mdb), integrates between of the two type of databases and manipulate the data for support the analyze process, graphic editing process and the data presentation.
