Abstract
Sound recognition system is on popular activity parallel with computer technology developments. In this project, sound recognition system concept is use for bass guitar chord with method of template Matching. Chord recognition involve several process starting captured signal from microphone. Then changing the signal from time domain to frequency domain using Fast Fourier Transform(FFT). Chord Recognition happened with the differences of highest frequency using template matching. As result, the chord been experiment with the calculation that the second frequency of the same chord is two time from the first one. Conclusion we can see that this system give an accurate value and also can be used for tuning guitar.
