Abstract
Sound or voice is one of the important medium in our daily work. The sound waves that want to be sending could be not understanding by receiver or could not clear send to receiver. In sound recognition, a sound signal must pass one process on how a sound signal must be extract. Start and end point detection of a sound was a main problem in sound recognition. So that, a developing of Word Extraction in Sound Recognition System will solve the problems. In this system, energy calculation in zero crossing rate technique will be use to detect start and end point for a sound signal. This system also will take away all unvoiced signal. Final result from this system is the system will extract two word in voiced sound sigmal condition only.
