Abstract
Internet presence has 'burst a new and powerful mechanism for online communication which is e-community. However, e-community of music is one type of e-community which is always forgotten by people in Malaysia. Thus, a nasyid e- community was chosen to be developed because many Malaysians, especially Muslims prefer this kind of music. In this e-community, there is one more technology that has been the talk of the town to prevent copyright infringement known as streaming audio. This technology enables transmissions of audio signals to user's computer via Internet and also Intranet in real time or on-demand. The development of this e-community is also to develop an e-community that has streaming audio technology as a mechanism to build relationship between musicians and the music fans, bringing nasyid to a new level. This project was developed in Windows 2000 operating system using PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) and SQL (Structured Query Language) technology on Apache server. On the other hand, this e-community uses Bahasa Malaysia as the main language and also has several components such as news / article, concert table and shout-box. This project's development hopefully can introduce and extend streaming audio in e-community.
