Abstract
Ports are the most important business transport facilities in this country. Working on this fact, Westport Malaysia Sdn Bhd. that is situated at Klang Port always try to improve their quality on container handling services to achieve the status of best and fast port of the country. Simulation technique is used to research container picking and loading processes for a big mother vessel. According to this research, the time comsumed by picking and loading processes can be forecasted and help in producing a standard time for a mother vessel to anchor. Simulation technique that was used in this research is very suitable because it does not disturb the current system processes. ProModel network Version 6.0, a simulation software, is used in model developing process. The standard time will be proposed along with the research report to the respected company to be considered.
