Abstract
A Web Based Inventory Control System is developed for the Diagnostic Lab Health Centre University Technology Malaysia, in order to resolve and replace the current system that is still using traditional method or manual system, by upgrading the inventory management system to be more efficient and effective. The system will be developed using object oriented approach while Personel Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) is used as the programming language, Multi-user Structured Query Language (mySQL) for database, Apache Web Server for the server and PhpMyAdmin as an editing tool for database. Apart from that, the methodology to be used for the development of the system will be based on the Evolution Prototype Model. This system will also be integrated with Periodic Review System Models with Reordering Level for inventory control. With every transaction that has been made, reports will also be produced. In general, the Web Base Inventory Control System will help the management of Diagnostic Lab Health Centre University Technology Malaysia to improve upon the old system in order that all the activity and process will be more efficient and effective, and to improve upon the set of problems and infirmity that exist.
